LoreUp turns general knowledge into a daily quest — five questions a run, twice a day. Right answers open each region's story chapter by chapter, every quest leaves a chest of treasure shards, and the ones you miss return as monsters until you have learned them.

STORIES AND TREASURES

A town once stood in the middle of the mist. The First Expedition walked out its gate, and wherever they truly learned something, land appeared. Then one night their treasures scattered. Every region tells a story with your name and your companion in it, each revealing another page of that night. Gather shards to make treasures: rarer ones shine brighter, and each opens a hidden story of its own.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Wrong answers come back. Beat a monster and it waits longer each time — 1 day, then 3, then 7, then 14 — until it is gone for good. Spaced repetition, played rather than scheduled.

Difficulty adapts per field: streaks climb from easy true-or-false to hard open-ended questions, misses ease it back.

FIELDS — OVER 10,000 QUESTIONS

History — Korean history from the Three Kingdoms through Goryeo, Joseon, the colonial era and the modern republic. Chinese and Japanese history, India and Southeast Asia. Western history from ancient Greece and Rome through medieval and modern Europe. American history from the founding to the 20th century, plus ancient civilisations.

Science — mathematics; physics from mechanics and electromagnetism to relativity and nuclear energy; chemistry from the periodic table to organic reactions; life science covering the body, genetics, cells, immunity and ecosystems; earth science, weather and astronomy from the solar system to galaxies; computer science across algorithms, AI, semiconductors, networks and security.

Economics — stock markets in Korea and the US, real estate, tax, insurance, credit, cryptocurrency, management. Macroeconomics: exchange rates, interest rates, inflation, employment, monetary and fiscal policy, trade, crises. Microeconomics: supply and demand, market structure and failure.

Culture — film from animation to sci-fi and thriller, music from K-pop and classical to hip-hop and gospel, Korean and world literature, Western and Eastern art, TV drama and variety, console and mobile games, Korean tradition, performing arts.

Geography — Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, Oceania, the regions of Korea, and the world's cities and capitals.

Sports — football across the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, the K League and the World Cup. Baseball, basketball, combat sports, esports, the Olympics, tennis, swimming, golf, athletics, archery and rugby.

Trends — AI, smartphones and startups, internet memes and slang, social media, celebrities, and lifestyle.

Religion — Christianity covering both Testaments by section, church history, doctrine and feasts. Buddhist history and scriptures. Islam, Judaism and Hinduism, as general knowledge not instruction.

Language — Korean orthography, native vocabulary, proverbs. English vocabulary, grammar, idioms, pronunciation. Japanese script, vocabulary, grammar, set phrases.

Law — constitutional law, civil law as it shows up in everyday life, criminal law and procedure.

Philosophy — Eastern thought, Western philosophy, ethics, and political ideas.

HOW YOU GROW

Answering raises XP and a stat for each field, and the map fills in as stats rise. Your companion gears up as you level. In one-to-one duels both players get the same five questions.

WHAT IT COSTS

Two explorations a day are free. After that you spend exploration tickets — earned through invites, level-ups and streaks, or bought. Explorer and Pathfinder subscriptions and the one-time Atlas Lifetime raise or remove the daily limit. Review battles never cost a ticket.
