<strong>Problem</strong>

AI chat services like Claude and Gemini don't offer a built-in way to bulk-delete or organize your chat history. Over time, your sidebar fills up with hundreds of old conversations — there's no way to clean it up without clicking through a slow delete-confirm dialog for each one individually.

<strong>Why you need it</strong>

If you use AI assistants daily, chat clutter builds up fast. A packed sidebar makes it harder to find what matters. You may also want to keep some chats accessible for reference while clearing everything else — but without tooling, that's not practical.

<strong>What it does</strong>

AI Chat Cleaner adds a toolbar button that lets you bulk-manage your Claude and Gemini chat history in one click:
<ul><li>Clean — deletes all conversations from your history at once (skips any chats inside Claude projects)</li><li>Archive — saves a local snapshot of your chat titles and links, then hides them from the sidebar so they're out of the way without being permanently deleted</li><li>View Archives — opens a dedicated panel showing all archived chats grouped by week and month, with options to restore them to the sidebar or permanently delete them from the service</li></ul>
All data stays in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to any external server.
