Summary
Native Video Recorder (or NRec for short) is a video application that uses your Chromebook's webcam to locally record and save video in .webm format. It offers video resolutions of 320x240, 400x300, 640x480, 800x600, 1280x720, and 1920x1080, though not all resolutions are supported on all devices.
NOTE: NRec is only designed for use on Chromebooks. Problems found on non-Chrome OS devices should not be reported as bugs.
NRec Usage:
- Press the Record button to start recording.
- Press the Record button again to stop recording.
- Press the Save Video button to save the recorded video to your machine.
If you select a resolution that is not supported, the video area will turn black. Please try a different resolution.
This app relies heavily on the getMedia tutorials and samples at WebRTC.
If you encounter issues with this app, please email me the details. This is a first release and I welcome feedback and error reports.
